The new semester has arrived, and freshmen brought bags of their belongings to Hualien. They and their parents were lovingly welcomed by TCU\u2019s Goodwill \"\"<\/a>Ambassadors at the of University housing entrance. \u201cWelcome to come to Tzu Chi University, let us help you to move your personal belongings to the carts!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u6148\u6fdf\u5927\u5b78\u65b0\u751f\u958b\u5b78\u4e86\uff01\u4e00\u888b\u4e00\u888b\u5bb6\u88e1\u625b\u4f86\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u7528\u54c1\uff0c\u65b0\u751f\u5bb6\u9577\u5011\u548c\u65b0\u751f\u5e36\u8457\u671f\u5f85\u7684\u5fc3\u60c5\u642c\u9032\u6148\u5927\u5bbf\u820d\uff0c\u800c\u8b93\u4ed6\u5011\u6700\u9a5a\u559c\u7684\u662f\u7ad9\u5728\u5bbf\u820d\u524d\u6574\u9f4a\u6709\u79ae\u8c8c\u7684\u89aa\u5584\u5927\u4f7f\u5011\u548c\u5bbf\u820d\u5e79\u90e8\u71b1\u60c5\u7684\u8fce\u63a5\uff1a\u300c\u6b61\u8fce\u52a0\u5165\u6148\u6fdf\u5927\u5b78\uff0c\u6211\u4f86\u5e6b\u4f60\u63a8\u8eca\u5427\uff01\u300d<\/p>\n

Ninety-two percent of the freshmen are from outside Hualien. Except for a few local freshmen, most of the 831 freshmen chose to live in University housing. To help freshmen move into their new homes in Hualien, many parents traveled from Taichung, Pingtong, Taipei, and even Malaysia with the new freshmen to Hualien. Right after seeing the freshmen arrive at the housing entrance, the Goodwill Ambassadors pushed carts over and helped in unloading freshmen\u2019s clothes, computers, comforters, etc. Mrs. Tien from Pingtong was impressed by our current students\u2019 enthusiasm and Tzu Chi University\u2019s warmness. This was the first time for her child to live away from home, and she expected her child to be independent, and believed that her child would be well taken care of in Tzu Chi University.<\/p>\n

\u6148\u5927\u65b0\u751f831\u4f4d\u9664\u4e86\u5c11\u6578\u5e7e\u4f4d\u82b1\u84ee\u4eba\u5916\uff0c\u5168\u90e8\u4f4f\u5bbf\uff0c\u800c\u6148\u5927\u5b78\u751f\u4e2d\u6709\u4e5d\u6210\u4e8c\u4ee5\u4e0a\u90fd\u662f\u5916\u5730\u751f\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u4eca\u5929\u65b0\u751f\u5831\u5230\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u5230\u9060\u5f9e\u53f0\u4e2d\u3001\u5c4f\u6771\u3001\u53f0\u5317\u3001\u751a\u81f3\u99ac\u4f86\u897f\u4e9e\u7684\u5bb6\u4eba\uff0c\u89aa\u81ea\u9001\u65b0\u751f\u642c\u9032\u5bbf\u820d\u3002\u8863\u670d\uff0c\u96fb\u8166\uff0c\u68c9\u88ab\u7b49\u7b49\uff0c\u80fd\u625b\u7684\u90fd\u5f9e\u5bb6\u88cf\u904b\u904e\u4f86\u4e86\uff0c\u5728\u5bbf\u820d\u5e79\u90e8\u7684\u6307\u63ee\u4e0b\uff0c\u8eca\u5b50\u4e00\u505c\u597d\uff0c\u89aa\u5584\u5927\u4f7f\u5c31\u8d95\u7dca\u5c07\u63a8\u8eca\u63a8\u5230\u5f8c\u8eca\u5ec2\uff0c\u4f86\u81ea\u5c4f\u6771\u7684\u7530\u5abd\u5abd\u958b\u5fc3\u7684\u8868\u793a\uff0c\u5b78\u9577\u59d0\u5f88\u71b1\u60c5\uff0c\u611f\u89ba\u5230\u6148\u5927\u6821\u5712\u7684\u6eab\u99a8\uff0c\u5b69\u5b50\u662f\u7b2c\u4e00\u6b21\u96e2\u5bb6\uff0c\u9700\u8981\u7368\u7acb\uff0c\u76f8\u4fe1\u5728\u6148\u6fdf\u6703\u88ab\u7167\u9867\u5f97\u5f88\u597d\u3002<\/p>\n

There were over 130 staffs and students who took part in welcoming the freshmen. They greeted freshmen at Hualien Railway Station, guided them to take the shuttle bus, aided them to unload and move personal belongings into University housing, and assisted with checking-in and other matters. These staffs and students borrowed 150 carts from local department stores, and assisted freshmen and their families from 9:00 a. m. till 4:00 p. m. One Goodwill Ambassador, Kai-Yun You, was very happy to assist freshmen, and she recollected the tenderness she received when she was a freshman. This day, she learned how to adjust to others\u2019 needs through serving freshmen.<\/p>\n

\u70ba\u4e86\u8fce\u63a5\u5404\u5730\u7684\u65b0\u751f\uff0c\u6148\u5927\u5b78\u52d9\u8655\u5305\u62ec\u89aa\u5584\u5927\u4f7f\u3001\u5bbf\u820d\u5e79\u90e8\u3001\u5404\u7cfb\u8f14\u5c0e\u4eba\u54e1\u8d85\u904e130\u4f4d\u5de5\u4f5c\u4eba\u54e1\uff0c\u5f9e\u706b\u8eca\u7ad9\u6307\u5f15\u3001\u5c08\u8eca\u63a5\u9001\u3001\u5bbf\u820d\u5340\u7684\u5354\u52a9\u642c\u904b\u3001\u5831\u5230\u3001\u6ce8\u610f\u4e8b\u9805\u53ee\u5680\u7b49\u7b49\uff0c\u540c\u6642\u5411\u5927\u8ce3\u5834\u501f\u4e86150\u8f1b\u63a8\u8eca\uff0c\u5f9e\u65e9\u4e0a\u4e5d\u9ede\u5230\u4e0b\u5348\u56db\u9ede\u8f2a\u73ed\u670d\u52d9\u65b0\u751f\u548c\u5bb6\u9577\u3002\u89aa\u5584\u5927\u4f7f\u6e38\u51f1\u82b8\u8868\u793a\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u5e6b\u52a9\u5b78\u5f1f\u59b9\u5011\uff0c\u89ba\u5f97\u883b\u958b\u5fc3\u7684\uff0c\u7576\u521d\u4e5f\u662f\u9019\u6a23\u9032\u4f86\u7684\uff0c\u5728\u670d\u52d9\u7684\u904e\u7a0b\u4e2d\uff0c\u81ea\u5df1\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u5b78\u7fd2\u5230\u5982\u4f55\u5e6b\u52a9\u5225\u4eba\u3002
\nWith mom\u2019s encouragement, a local freshman elected to stay in University housing, which is only several kilometers away from home. Chen said: \u201cI want to learn to be independent, and try living with my peers.\u201d Mrs. Hsu lives in Taipei and came to Hualien by car. She took photos all along the way for her child. Mrs. Hsu mentioned that her eldest child attended the University of Taipei, which is located in Taipei, and thus she didn\u2019t need to go far. This time was different. Her child would live so far away, and she needed to learn how to let go. She also felt that TCU has a well-off campus, and she was happy that her child would study in this fine environment.<\/p>\n

\u5bb6\u4f4f\u82b1\u84ee\u7684\u9673\u540c\u5b78\uff0c\u5728\u5abd\u5abd\u7684\u9f13\u52f5\u4e0b\uff0c\u642c\u9032\u96e2\u5bb6\u53ea\u6709\u5e7e\u516c\u91cc\u7684\u5bbf\u820d\uff0c\u300c\u8981\u5b78\u7fd2\u7368\u7acb\uff0c\u60f3\u8981\u8a66\u8a66\u770b\u81ea\u5df1\u5728\u5916\u9762\u751f\u6d3b\u3002\u300d\u9673\u540c\u5b78\u8aaa\u3002\u9084\u6709\u5f9e\u53f0\u5317\u958b\u8eca\u904e\u4f86\u7684\u8a31\u5abd\u5abd\u4e00\u8def\u62cd\u7167\u8a18\u9304\u5b69\u5b50\u4e0a\u5927\u5b78\u7684\u904e\u7a0b\uff0c\u8a31\u5abd\u5abd\u958b\u5fc3\u7684\u8868\u793a\uff0c\u8001\u5927\u5ff5\u5e02\u5317\u5e2b\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6c92\u6709\u9001\u5b69\u5b50\u96e2\u5bb6\u7684\u611f\u89ba\uff0c\u9019\u662f\u7b2c\u4e00\u500b\u5b69\u5b50\u5230\u5916\u5730\u8b80\u66f8\uff0c\u81ea\u5df1\u4e5f\u5728\u5b78\u7fd2\u6162\u6162\u653e\u624b\uff0c\u6148\u5927\u6821\u5712\u5f88\u8212\u670d\uff0c\u5f88\u958b\u5fc3\u5b69\u5b50\u5728\u9019\u6a23\u7684\u74b0\u5883\u5b78\u7fd2\u3002<\/p>\n

Tien is a student of Communication Studies and he is from Malaysia. Tien said, \u201cThis is my first time to live in school housing, and I am very excited.\u201d His parents came to Taiwan with him. Malaysia is far away from Taiwan, and the next family reunion might be 2017, during Chinese New Year. His parents were asked whether they would worry about their son. His father, Mr. Tien replied with certainty, \u201cTzu Chi Foundation provides relief work around the world, and thus I believe in Tzu Chi\u2019s education.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u5f9e\u99ac\u4f86\u897f\u4e9e\u5230\u6148\u5927\u5c31\u8b80\u50b3\u64ad\u7cfb\u7530\u540c\u5b78\u8aaa\uff1a\u300c\u7b2c\u4e00\u6b21\u4f4f\u5bbf\uff0c\u5f88\u958b\u5fc3\u3002\u300d\u800c\u7236\u6bcd\u4e5f\u7279\u5730\u966a\u4ed6\u5f9e\u99ac\u4f86\u897f\u4e9e\u5831\u5230\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u8def\u7a0b\u9059\u9060\uff0c\u4e0b\u6b21\u898b\u9762\u53ef\u80fd\u5c31\u662f\u904e\u5e74\uff0c\u6703\u4e0d\u6703\u64d4\u5fc3\u5b69\u5b50\u7684\u5b78\u6821\u72c0\u6cc1\uff0c\u7530\u7238\u7238\u5f88\u7be4\u5b9a\u7684\u8868\u793a\uff1a\u300c\u6148\u6fdf\u662f\u5728\u6551\u4eba\u7684\uff0c\u6211\u76f8\u4fe1\u6148\u6fdf\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u3002\u300d<\/p>\n

A standard University dorm suite accommodates four students, and lights of common areas are turned off at 12 midnight. It is a good opportunity for freshmen living in University housing to learn time management and interaction with others. A Nursing sophomore Gui-Hong Ceng said that she went to bed early, and thus the lights off policy was good for her. During the lights off period, her roommates were very considerate of her. They would use desk lamps to continue their studying, or try to lower their conversation volume. She was happy for her roommates\u2019 considerations.<\/p>\n
